Our Story

Egitalco, a small family run business from the early 1900 has now become a contender in the international markets with its Olijus brand. Business expansion started as early as 1950 when a small mill for the production of olive oil was purchased.

In the 1970's Egitalco started producing table olives and pickles which expanded our line of products in both the local and international markets.

It was in the 1990's that business took a serious turn when Egitalco become a shareholding company and began exporting to the EU and North America. Today we are one of the key players in olives and olive oil markets across the world providing consistently high quality products.

Vision

Our vision is to develop Egitalco (Olijus) in the next five upcoming years to be one of the largest Egyptian exporting companies in the fields of olive oil, table olive & pickle, to compete in today's global market.

 

Corporate Objectives

Upgrade and improve the methods of production to provide the highest quality of virgin olive oil, table olives and pickles to meet and exceed international standards as well as local taste; introduce and create awareness of nutritional value and its effect on human health for consumers and ultimately add Egitalco (Olijus) products in every kitchen.
